Been a weird few days, writing-wise – but what the hell! Why stop when i’m having fun? (At least, i think it’s fun – can’t always be too sure about that).
One of the things i like about writing is that the reader can be lulled into a false sense of security and self-assuredness, then pow! The writer can throw in an unexpected twist, maybe a new character, a different thread or an unconventional style and, at the author’s whim, the reader is forced to re-appraise everything they’ve thought up to that point. (Oh, the power!).
If you’re familiar with this blog, particularly the more arcane, not-about-sl-parts, you’ll know that i love to throw in a surprise twist, particularly at the end, when you think you’re on the home straight and the finish line is beckoning…
But doesn’t always happen that way.
Time for another instalment of Skybald, i think – here’s ‘Rebel‘, for your consideration.
